In October, he shared a post on X about the plight of Christians in Nigeria, a topic that has received minimal coverage from the mainstream media. The numbers are alarming: between 2009 and 2023, an estimated 52,000 Christians were killed in Nigeria, with Muslims being the primary perpetrators. In 2025 alone, over 30 Christians were killed each day in the first seven months. This crisis, however, has not garnered the same level of media attention as other issues, such as the 'genocide' against transgender youths and police brutality against black men, which are not, in reality, genuine genocides.
Despite this, Henderson's efforts are making a significant impact. By wearing these cleats on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants, he is bringing much-needed awareness to a cause that the media has largely ignored.
