While the ESRB page itself is quite sparse, offering a description that could technically apply to a simple remaster, there's a crucial detail that's caught everyone's attention: mention of in-game purchases. Capcom has been incorporating these into many of their recent titles, even single-player experiences, which strongly suggests that whatever this new iteration of RE5 is, it's likely to include some form of fresh content.
And this is the part most people miss... While some whispers suggested Code Veronica might be next, the evidence is mounting that Resident Evil 5 is indeed getting the full remake treatment.
